About this Event

Meet for coffee at Arborio Café at 9:30am, or join us at 10:00am in the Puke Ariki Museum foyer.

Puke Ariki Pictorial Curator Natasha McKinney will give a guided tour through the Kiingi Tuheitia Portraiture Award exhibition. Spend time with a striking selection of portraits from across Aotearoa and hear the stories, ideas and connections that bring these works to life.

Along the way, discover portraits of treasured tÅ«puna expressed through painting, photography, weaving, sculpture and moving image. The Puke Ariki presentation also includes new works by Taranaki artists and photographic portraits from the museum’s collections, creating a rich local connection to the exhibition.

Enjoy a relaxed and engaging morning of art, conversation and shared discovery.
