Uplift your thinking for the Māori world and language.
Bring Te Wiki o te Reo Māori to life with your class at the Puke Ariki Library. Akonga will uncover the story behind the striking mural of Hana Te Hemara and discover how her courage and determination helped protect and promote te reo Māori.
Ākonga will then take part in a hands-on Te Ataarangi experience using coloured cuisenaire rods to learn and use te reo Māori. This engaging approach encourages learners to listen, speak, and build confidence as they explore language in a fun and supportive environment.
Your class will leave with new language skills, a deeper understanding of Hana Te Hemara's legacy, and personal and collective inspiration to support, celebrate, and use te reo Māori every day.
